Y2k - What's the Best Part of the Worst Fashion Decade?
The year 2000 suffered from a hype driven, false event that was set to make every computer on earth crash. The media around the millennium Bug (Y2K Bug) was poorly planned and horribly executed, much like the fashion of the same year. But what was the best part of the worst fashion decade in history? Plain and simple the answer is animal print. What a contradictory fashion item. When Jackie Kennedy wears it it’s expensive, when Christina Aguilera layers it it’s trashy. But listen, if it’s good enough for Peg Bundy’s spandex tights on ‘Married with children’ it’s good enough for Noodle Bagz.
There’s quite a few iconic characters that rocked animal print. But only one embodied the spirit of Noodle Bagz at that time. Dennis Rodman rocked the leopard print lid in multiple forms, two of which we’ve combined to make the Y2K Noodle Bagz. The motto for our company events is ‘Compete & Party’, Give it your all and then celebrate your efforts. Rodman embodied that. Multiple NBA games with 30+ rebounds, and multiple trips to Vegas for 30+ libations with Carmen Electra.
We’re here now in 2021. But Let's face it this decade is cheeks. We're telling the 20's to kick rocks as we cruise back in time to Y2K. Shia's rocking a flame bottom shirt on 'Even Stevens' , Sisqo's raking in the dollars with 'Thong Song' and if you're not wearing some form of leopard print ya can lose my number.
To create Rodmans signature look we've used a color palette from Sabrina the Teenage Witch’s shirt and overlayed a hand cut leopard pattern from a groovy jungle cat. So if someone says they've seen that design before you tell 'em 'Bye Bye Bye'.
We're going FULL HYPE with Y2K as we reclaim a lost generation of party animals. So get your Bagz collection updated and get your ass vaccinated for summer 20(00)21.
